At the heart of every design company is a passion to create beauty. At Kongsted Living, we call it KL Signature. And of course, it all starts with the design.

Hans Thyge Raunkjaer, one of the leading lights in this generation of Danish designers and the design lead for KL Signature, expresses it this way; "Design is about feelings and communications, about making products of high value, created with a minimum of resources, but with a high level of IDEA, HISTORY and MODERNISM."

Acknowledging this history is important to us, and so we are also proud to offer products of one of the scions of Danish design, Verner Panton (1926 - 1998). An advocate for free and outspoken "space-age" living throughout the 1960's and 1970's, Verner Panton's designs in both lightning and furniture strike a cord in contemporary interior living. Many of his objects are today destined to reach the status of "design icons of the 20th century".

KL SIGNATURE

Miles

Inspired by 70's Danish themes, designer Hans Thyge Raunkjaer has created a new modern classic with the Miles. Clean lines, white oiled solid oak, stainless steel accents, impeccable materials and workmanship - it's what you expect from KL Signature.

Charlie

The beauty of the Charlie lies in its simplicity - no distractions from the beauty of the white oil-finished solid ash base (also available in espresso finish) and crisp clean lines are permitted. Down and feathers provide exceptional seating comfort. The result? Simply magic.

Ella

A striking addition to the KL Signature line is Ella, featuring a solid ash external frame in deep espresso finish with parallel bars on the outside arms and back. With deep pocket coiled seats for comfort, all internal cushion elements can be removed for cleaning and repair.

Billie

Every once in a while a piece of furniture comes along that makes us smile - a piece that brings together a number of whimsical elements like solid stainless steel buttons gleaming against a dark wool fabric, or roll cushion nestled perfectly in the curve of the arm. The Billie is just that piece - a beautiful melding of fun and function featuring down and feather seating, steel and ash legs, and a lot of smiles.

Louis

The largest piece in our collection at 240 cm (96"), Louis certainly makes an impression. Settled on a solid ash base and accented by solid stainless steel base caps, the pocket coil seating and unique detachable arm provide comfort and style.

Duke

The classic straight lines of the Duke, emphasized by the pure stainless steel base, belie the comfort offered by down, feather and pocket coil seating.

Sarah

Available as swivel with stainless steel base (as shown) or with solid ash base, the Sarah offers the ideal combination of comfort, style and a small footprint that makes it at home in many rooms of the home.

KL 3001 and 3003

Great upholstery deserves a matching table. Drawing inspiration from the KL 1001 and 1003, the KL 3001 and 3003 have elements that connect and expand on the theme. Made from solid wood elements and 10 mm tempered glass, each table is a work of art.

Relaxer by Verner Panton

Kongsted Living, in collaboration with the Verner Panton estate, has re-released one of Panton's more tantalizing seating objects, "The Relaxer Lounge Chair". In one sweeping curve, Panton accentuates the art of seating designed to ergonomically fit any body size and posture. It was originally designed in 1974 for Rosenthal Studioline and produced in Germany. Due to the relatively small numbers produced then, the Panton Relaxer chair has turned into a highly collectible object for vintage design aficionados and collectors.
